The nation's middle class is eager to pay for more tax cuts for the rich, say sources in the Bush administration familiar with its discussions on tax reform.
The administration is considering satisfying that desire, according to the Washington Post, by eliminating:
The sources stressed that this would not constitute raising taxes. "The total amount of taxes would remain the same," said one source. "Only the payers would change."
Taxes would be cut or eliminated on investments and savings.
Bush voter Roy Davison, a $20K/year temp worker, applauded the President's plans. "I'm certainly glad we didn't elect a tax-hiking elitist," he said.
